Lost//Youth Release Debut EP 'Chasing Shadows' and set off on national tour

Lost//Youth’s debut EP, ‘Chasing Shadows’, is a concept album that explores the patterns in life and love that have led to darkness. The EP is about chasing love that can destroy and finding resolve in letting go. It’s about heartbreak and anger but also about lessons learnt along the way and the promise of healing.

The EP begins with ‘Too Late’, a song about a disillusioned lover’s fantasy of taking back power from someone that loved the chase but never stayed. Hauntingly aggressive ‘Burn Every Bridge’ follows, with the tale of a woman that can make you fall in love and slit your throat just as easily.

The third song, Sinner “appears unadulterated, honest….and promises goose bumps, especially in the dynamically louder passages”, the “gently played guitar, which acts in unison with the emotional and sonorous lead vocals” brings out an “emotional ballad character” (Berlin on Air).

The final track, ‘Last Time’, is a triumphant promise to never again “let love change me”. The album ends on a determined note to never repeat the same mistakes.

The band releases the EP as they set off for a three week national tour. Check the dates here.

Band Biography:

Lost//Youth is here to save you from the modern noise. The alt/rock band, formed in 2021, brings something new to the table while being reminiscent of bands from before their time. With acoustic elements, epic guitar solos and sincere lyricism, the group delivers a unique and yet nostalgic experience.

With diverse, anti-modern influences such as Foo Fighters, Fleetwood Mac, Tracy Chapman, KALEO and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, their music is hard to define - and that's exactly how they like it. Their upcoming two-part project, playing off the concepts of the light and dark, will help define their sound as malleable and yet inherently distinctive.
